Overview

Beaches, reefs & history.

The Andaman Islands lie in the Bay of Bengal, far from the mainland. Port Blair, now named Sri Vijaya Puram, is the gateway, with the historic Cellular Jail.

By ferry, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) has Radhanagar, one of India’s best beaches, and Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) is calm, green and easy to explore by bicycle.
