Hotels in India ask for a valid photo ID for every adult guest at check-in.
Hill stations fill up in May–June and around Christmas and New Year.
Check-in is usually around noon to 2 PM; early check-in depends on availability.
Tell us about lifts, ground-floor rooms or travelling with elders.
Rooms on the Char Dham route are simpler, and they book out early in season.
